Prevention

Preventing families from spiraling into homelessness is an essential part of the FPGD mission.

Diversion

We offer innovative programs such as relocation services, mediation, assistance to keep families with support systems, and to address their needs in a cost-effective, targeted approach.

Shelter

Our shelter program focuses on a housing-first approach. Once families are in a safe environment with their basic needs met, they're able to tackle other barriers preventing them from stable housing

Stabilization

Helping the families we serve succeed today and remain stable in their housing, financial capability and career paths tomorrow

Get Involved

Our volunteers are the foundation of our organization. Without local volunteers, we wouldn't be able to continue to run our shelter program. Most of our long-term volunteers are partnered with congregations in the area. However, we have a number of volunteer opportunities that help run Family Promise of Great Denver.

We have opportunities to assist families directly on the phone, partner with our staff to run fundraisers, or help us maintain our daysite. There are lots of ways to get involved.

How can I apply for the HCTC?

The Homeless Contribution Tax Credit (HCTC) allows individuals and businesses to receive a state tax credit for donating to organizations that assist homeless individuals and families. By making a qualifying donation to an approved charity, donors can reduce their state tax liability while supporting efforts to combat homelessness and provide vital services.

What is the HCTC?

We can submit an application on your behalf, or you can submit it directly through the Colorado Homeless Income Tax Credit Portal

To submit on your behalf, we will need a few details from you, including: Your full name and contact information, Your Tax ID (SSN) , the amount of your donation or planned donation, and any necessary documentation of your charitable contribution

Once we have this information, we can handle the rest for you!

To submit your tax information, or for any questions, please contact our Development Director at amitchell@fpgd.org.
